Thank you for your question. If the treadmill belt still slips after adjusting the walking belt the problem is most likely a loose drive belt. The drive belt is located between the motor and the front roller. To adjust the drive belt first, unplug the treadmill and remove the motor cover. Next, locate and loosen the motor mounting bolts. Then move the motor so that the belt is tight and have someone retighten the mounting bolts. It will take quite a bit of force to hold the belt tight.

After the belt is tight plug the treadmill in and carefully test the operation. If the belt still slips, watch the front roller. If the roller stops but the pulley does not the roller is defective. If the roller and the pulley stop, the drive belt is still loose.

If the walking belt is too tight, the motor will over heat and cause the hot smell. I have provided you with an image below showing how to correctly adjust the walking belt. Also if the underside of the belt feels sticky you may want to order and apply belt lube. This will keep the treadmill operating smoothly.

Turn the walking belt until the belt seam is along the top of the front roller. Raise the belt on one side in the center of the walking board front to back as high as you can. Apply 1/2 the tube of lubrication to the walking board in a zig zag fashion moving from front to back.

Move the belt until the seam comes up on top of the rear roller and lift the belt again and put the rest of the lubrication on the walking board in the same manner. Turn the treadmill on and walk on the belt for 10-20 minutes. Walk all over the belt to distribute the lubrication evenly on the walking belt and board. Based on your details, the ice maker assembly (part 4-20-052-0) would probably need to be replaced. You can unplug the refrigerator and manually defrost that ice mold using a heat gun or hair dryer on a warm setting.
