Service Manual Delonghi Automtic Expresso
I show how to take the top cover off a DeLonghi EC702 Espresso Maker, for service and trouble shooting. Mine was leaking after a couple of years. Five screws need to be removed.
Two are on the back of the machine and are are easy to remove. The three under the top housing are a little tricky and I show how to do this. You'll need two screw drivers, one small Phillips head (I use a size #0) and an 1/8' x 4' flat head, which fits the hex safety screw heads and is long enough to reach the recessed holes. It's also small enough to fit the space. Need a New Espresso Machine? Check out the deal on a DeLonghi BCO430 Combination Pump Espresso and 10-cup Drip Coffee Machine with Frothing Wand.

The grinder makes a lot of noise and does not grind the correct amount of beans. I have cleaned from above and below all debris but I believe that there is part of a stone blocked internally which needs removing.
What I need is the advice on how to strip down the device to clean it - I have previously contacted the US support people who have been less than helpful always stating that it needs to go back to an authorised repair shop.which does not exist here in Armenia. Does anybody have a service manual at all for this type of device? If the machine is still being produced, you should be able to have a manual shipped to you, even in Armenia.
It may cost $10 +shipping, but you'll have it. Note.in the future, please reduce the # of characters in your Subject line. Remove the 6 screws at the back. Pull the side panels towards the back – they will slide about 2 cm. Then pull them carefully away. Remove the back cover, which is now free.
Remove the two screws that connect the back corners of the top cover. Remove the 4 screws that connect the front silver bezel (they also hold the front corners of the top cover). Remove the top cover.
With a flat screwdriver, carefully pry apart the steam knob. Once it is removed, pull away the silver bezel (it is still connected by a cable, but this cable has extra length, it is folded at its other end). Hope this will help someone one day, Ron DeLonghi EAM3200.
